# Gravity Proof Standard v1.0 Standard ID: GPS-1 Status: Canonical Maintainer: GravityBTC ## Purpose The Gravity Proof Standard defines the minimum requirements for a verifiable proof. A verifiable proof must be independently reviewable and reproducible. ## Required Components - proof_id - subject - issuer - timestamp - SHA256 hash - verification record - retrieval path - status ## Verification Requirement A proof must allow an independent party to: 1. retrieve the referenced artifact 2. verify the hash 3. verify the proof record 4. reproduce the verification outcome ## Gravity Principle A proof is not evidence because it exists. A proof becomes evidence when it can be independently verified.
