Relay Specification

This specification defines the deterministic operational behavior of the GravityBTC Relay service.

Relay is an invoice-bound Bitcoin settlement recognition and preservation service designed for deterministic activation, retrieval continuity, and operational consistency.

1. Canonical Relay Lifecycle

  1. Client selects Relay tier
  2. Invoice is generated
  3. Bitcoin settlement is observed
  4. Required confirmations are reached
  5. Relay activation occurs
  6. Issued records become retrievable
  7. Retrieval continuity is maintained

2. Settlement Recognition

Relay activation does not occur before the required Bitcoin confirmation threshold has completed.

3. Deterministic Activation

Relay activation behavior is determined by predefined operational rules and is not modified on a discretionary basis.

4. Retrieval Continuity

Issued Relay records remain associated with the originating invoice identifier and follow deterministic retrieval behavior.

5. Procedural Consistency

Relay terminology, activation logic, retrieval behavior, and issued record handling are intended to remain operationally stable across time.

6. Scope

Relay is operational trust infrastructure and does not represent legal advice, custody services, investment activity, or discretionary financial management.
